Field Day Events
There are two types of Field Days. I have added a list of games for Buddy field day. I am hoping to add to the events often to keep it current. The buddy events are ones in which my school will be doing this year. The team events are ones we did in the past. I am trying out the buddy field day to see how it goes. I am hoping it will go well so the school will want to do it rather than the team events.
For those of you who are not familiar with a buddy field day let me tell you about it. This type of field day tends to be just half day for the students. If you are using it for elementary students you can have half the school in the morning and the other half in the afternoon. You need to set up around 30-40 events. Each student is paired up with a buddy. Make sure each student has pin to them a list of the activities. When the buddies are done at a station an "x" is made by the event on the card. Students are to go to every event. If they are done with all the events with time left, then they may return to the events that they liked. You will need plenty of parent volunteers for this field day. When sending the list out for volunteers be sure to explain things, which they will be doing for the day.

Team Field Day Rules
You may recruit student helpers to retrieve balls or to help with the equipment. PLEASE DO NOT ASK THEM TO JUDGE RACES.
Please be familiar with your event and the rules for that event. Please be consistent in judging your event.
Magic Mustang tickets are in your volunteer packet. You may reward good citizenship, good sportsmanship and/or courteous and helpful students. Please SIGN any that you give out.
Teachers are responsible for supervising their students and for making sure the students get to the events on time.
Volunteers who are running the last events of the day (1:45 - 2:15) should return equipment to the gym. Student helpers may be needed.
