Heart Obstacle Course

This section is dedicated to creating your own Heart Obstacle Course for a heart unit. When I created this course at my school the students loved it. They were very excited to do the course for a whole week. I have provided pictures to go along with the telling of the sections for better clearification. I hope this will work well for most of you and I hope you enjoy it.

This is a picture for the Right Atrium. The scooters are to the right. Players pick up a scooter and scoots going forward inbetween the mats.

Here you can see you go through a valve and down to the Right Venticle. Go under the hola-hoops while still riding the scooter.

After coming out from the hula-hoops hang a left. On the right you can see some hanging nets. The nets serve as the Pulmanary Artery. Players scoot along the side by the nets back toward the Right Atrium. Scoot all the way back toward the start.

After placing the scooter back where it belongs turn around and travel over the lungs. Which are just two mats on the ground.

After crossing the lungs you are to the Left Atrium. Here you jog while weaving around the cones.

Travel through the valve.

Here in the Left Ventricle create a path to travel between the domes. Players are to hop on one foot through the path. You can have them walk on the domes but they tend to move around a lot.
Turn to the right and you will see the Aorta. Here you have two choices to go to, the brain or the body. Choose one and crawl through the mat. After coming out jog around the outside of the gym and back to the start. Do not cut across the lungs.

Here is an over view of the set up.
